MCW Nursery Support Services specialises in designing and implementing bespoke HEALTH & SAFETY, AUDIT, TRAINING and BUSINESS packages for the childcare industry.

With decades of experience, we recognise that no two-nursery settings are alike – and nor is the paperwork required to run each business. Our team of consultants and trainers can personalise your manuals and documentation, giving you the peace of mind that you’re following all of the required rules and regulations.

WHY CHOOSE US?

  • HASSLE-FREE PAPERWORK
  • MAKE SURE YOU’RE SAFE & COMPLIANT
  • YOU CAN FOCUS ON LOOKING AFTER CHILDREN

Nurseries and Pre-schools are classed as a food business if you prepare food for consumption (e.g. cooking). It is important that nurseries and pre-school play their part in the ‘field-to-fork’ approach and this should begin with ensuring there is a good Food Safety Policy in place, there are suitable facilities and competent staff to adequately prepare and serve wholesome, safe and healthy menus.

MCW Nursery Support Services has created a robust Childcare Food Safety Policy and Procedures Manual, based on the Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Points (HACCP) approach to manage the risk involved in food preparation. This manual clearly defines individual’s roles, responsibilities and training requirements to ensuring that food is safe to eat and is based on a ‘field-to-fork’ approach, with the aim of reducing contamination of foods during production, supply, preparation, cooking, chilling, refrigeration, freezing, hot-holding, transportation, serving and eating and promoting good food hygiene practice. Your manual will come fully branded to your company, including logos.

The Childcare Food Safety Policy and Procedures Manual complies with legal and regulatory responsibilities in relation to catering and facilities for eating. It sets out the duty of care and the requirement of specific legislation such as the Regulation (EC) 852/2004, Food Hygiene (England) Regulations 2006, Food Hygiene (Scotland) Regulations 2006, Food Hygiene (Wales) Regulations 2006, Food Hygiene (Northern Ireland) Regulations 2006 and the Workplace (Health, Safety & Welfare) Regulations 1992.
