RISK ASSESSMENTS are a legal requirement and you may be asked for copies by your team, parents or sometimes even external organisations such as Ofsted.
We often hear the terminology ‘Generic’ and ‘Site Specific’ Risk Assessment but what is the actual difference? Many companies have a database or files of Risk Assessments for tasks and activities within their nursery. These would be classed as Generic Risk Assessments and they may well be specific to the task or activity, but they are NOT specific to the setting or people carrying out the task.
